The Community Impact Coordinator will make meaningful contributions to ministry efforts that reach underserved communities such as the homeless, those in assisted living facilities, and recently released prison inmates. This position is a leader of leaders, one who oversees and mobilizes volunteer teams to conduct impactful ministry work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A dynamic and growing relationship with Christ, and lives in accordance with Christian values.
- Strong leadership skills to lead several teams of volunteers and leaders.
- Excellent administrative skills to facilitate coordinated efforts and document results.
5+ years of work in a ministry context, including staff level or volunteer experience strongly preferred
- In lieu of 5 years of experience, a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
- Proficiency with standard software programs, including the Google and Microsoft Suites. Ability to learn project management software.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable speaking in front of others, and strong written communication ability.
- A flexible schedule to support ministry events at various times, including in the evenings as needed.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability utilize resources and materials to address concerns.
- Continually maintains professionalism, even during urgent situations and high levels of activity.
- Strong aptitude for balancing competing priorities and triaging situations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee community outreach efforts for the homeless, assisted-living, and senior centers.
- Lead the Back on Track program, providing services and support in a group setting for recently released inmates.
- Coordinate efforts for outreach with a team of around 70 volunteers.
- Communicate and coordinate ministry efforts with each facility.
- Build strong relationships and rapport with the management of each facility.
- Facilitate various ministry activities that vary based on the needs of each community.
- Mobilize volunteers to provide ministry care and support throughout the community.
- Conduct regular reports to track needs, attendance, and effectiveness.
- Expand ministry reach to new facilities through outreach efforts and partnerships.
- Assist with training volunteers in the Community Impact ministry.
- Take on other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the ministry.
