Custodian

Status: Full-Time

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Sagebrush is seeking a custodian to ensure our main church location is cleaned and maintained, adhering to all best practices for health and safety. This vital staff member will care for our campus to ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone we serve. The custodian will work alongside a team of professional maintenance and custodial staff to uphold a standard of excellence in accordance with our staff verse: "Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." Colossians 3:17

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to adhere to the Sagebrush Staff Covenant, maintaining a way of life that is Christ-centered.

• Working knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and best practices.

• Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment, such as buffers and polishers.

• Must be proactive and attend to issues quickly before they become a concern.

• Strong attention to detail to clean every area of the campus, adhering to best practices.

• Ability to function in a self-directed environment to complete all custodial duties with little supervision.

• Flexible and willing to adapt to varying schedules and levels of work required, as schedules may vary based on events and other factors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean all areas of the campus, including the main Worship Center, restrooms, lobbies, and offices.

• Perform various cleaning tasks such as trash pickup and disposal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and polishing.

• Set up rooms for meetings, events, or conferences, including stacking chairs, arranging tables, and coordinating equipment as needed.

• Adhere to rules regarding health, safety, and OSHA standards, and be aware of church cleaning practices.

• Able to attend large events outside of normal working hours to provide onsite custodial support. Able to stay after events to clean up and reset the environment.

• Manage stock levels of consumables and replace low inventory. Organize and maintain custodial closets.

• Work closely with the facilities manager to report any damages, defects, and maintenance issues that need to be addressed.

• On occasion, perform light maintenance, basic repairs and groundskeeping.

• Be able to travel to other campus locations as needed to provide custodial support.

• Take on any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and be in alignment with our values.
