Discipleship Director: Small Groups Pastor

As a Discipleship Director, you will work closely with the Campus Pastor to connect with people, develop leaders in the church, and lead people toward their next step with Christ. Our goal is for people to fully integrate into the body of the church and build community together.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Gripped by the vision to fulfill the Great Commission, be a trailblazer focused on inspiring others to take the next step in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
- At least 3 years of pastoral or related work experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in a related field. All degrees will be considered.
- Have a natural ability to connect quickly with people.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a strong understanding of your campus community.
- Initiate and maintain contact with church members in person and over the phone.
- Give pastoral counsel to those in need. Triage conversations based on assessed needs.
- Leverage networking opportunities during your time spent with the congregation to learn about our church members and connect with them. Connect with first-time guests to encourage their return.
- Build a network with and through current Small Groups leaders.
- Lead people to the next step in their walk with Christ. Next steps could be a decision to follow Christ, signing up for baptism, joining a Small Group, taking Core Classes, serving on a ministry team, etc.
- Teach and guide Small Group leaders, Decision Counselors, and leaders of other ministry teams to become comfortable sharing the gospel and answering questions to help others grow in their faith.
- Assist the campus pastor with ministering to adults through events, outreaches, and building relationships.
- Share your ideas for local outreach and social activities to reach the community and build connections.
