Maintenance Technician

Status: Full-Time

Location: Riverside Campus, Albuquerque, NM (On-site)

Sagebrush is in search of an experienced maintenance tech who can manage advanced repair work and special construction assignments. This technician will work alongside a team of highly qualified craftsmen, electricians, and custodial team members to collaborate on church building and maintenance projects. Together, you will improve and maintain our church facilities, so everyone feels comfortable and welcome in each environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to adhere to the Sagebrush Staff Covenant, maintaining a way of life that is Christ-centered.
• Prior contractor, journeyman, or building maintenance technician experience is required.
• Specialized skills in one or more of the following: welding, drywall, demo, framing, electrical, carpentry.
• 3+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
• Demonstrates a proactive work ethic, attending to issues and problems before they are requested.
• Detail oriented and accurate with a proven track record of finishing assigned tasks efficiently.
• Flexible and willing to adapt to varying schedules and level of work required from week to week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete advanced repairs and projects including: tile work, drywall/sheetrock repair, carpentry, plumbing repairs etc.
• Observe the building/facility conditions and take necessary action to maintain and quickly repair issues.
• Complete commercial-level painting projects and manage upkeep to facilities including general landscaping projects.
• Maintain equipment and supplies used throughout the facility.
• Have a basic understanding of HVAC and heating equipment and related requirements/codes.
• Provide daily/weekly communication and updates on assigned projects and deadlines.
• Troubleshoot to determine potential issues and prepare a maintenance plan for review.
• Provide custodial support on an occasional basis.
• Our multiple church locations require maintenance, so some travel is required. You must currently possess a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
